visited forest of Dean this weekend for a friend's birthday party. Stayed at littledean house hotel, was a lovely stay, comfortable bed, very welcomed and friendly atmosphere in the pub. definitely will visit/book again 👍

This is a nice hotel and the manager was very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Its just a shame they weren't doing any food when I stayed.

Littledean house hotel We arrived before the 3pm checkin time, and the landlord walked over and asked if we were OK and if we wanted to check in early, of which we were grateful He explained there wasn't breakfast available, but the pub down the road cater for breakfast between 8-9, and the fish and chip shop down the high street (they were closed) They did do a bbq that evening at 5, but it was really chilly and raining, so we didn't fancy it. my husband and I walked down to the pub to check it out and had a beer before we headed back to the hotel.. We just wanted a chilled night after a long week at work. It's a really quirky place, very, very old building We had room 5, it's a fairly decent size family room one king bed and a single bed When entering the room, we quickly noticed the strong damp smell in the room It's very strong and everything, bed and towels smelt damp too We had to keep the window open all night as we didn't want to breathe in too much of the damp air. we were cold and didn't sleep well before our long drive home The shower temperature is adjustable, so I had a hot shower in the morning, but I could still smell the damp in my hair and on our clothes when we got home. The hotel needs some money and tlc throwing in to it, especially room 5...

Stayed here for work for two nights The whole place was dated and gloomy, had no hot water in the room, smelled damp , website showed pictures of food that didn’t exist at all, overall was pretty disappointed

Yeah it was ok, you get what you pay for. The only thing that was a let down for me was no WiFi apparently it went down from some storm or something but was still showing as an available network.

Absolutely enjoyed our short stay here at Littledean House Hotel! The rooms were a decent size, beds had comfortable blankets and pillows and the en-suite bathrooms were more than adequate. We were surprised at how much room the kids had to play with their monster trucks 😀! Breakfast was conveniently located at Belfry Inn a short walk away. The view from the garden was lovely. Sand was very efficient at check in and super helpful and friendly when it came to recommendations for food and activities. It was our first visit to the Forest of Dean area and this made for a good experience. Would stay again. We stayed with two small kids 3 and 6 and a wee one 5 months.

A lovely Olde worlde hotel, unfortunately the restaurant no longer serves food, so unfortunately wouldn't stay there again.

Booked a room here recently for my Daughters and Grandkids while they were visiting and they absolutely loved it. They said the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. They have asked me to book here again next time they visit so that says it all. Happy to recommend.

Had a brilliant night stay at Littledean House Hotel. The rooms are clean, cosy and the beds are very comfortable. Excellent bedding. Our room was directly above the bar but it really didn't disturb us at all. Even though it was a busy Saturday. Lovely view to wake up to out of the window. Sandy was a great host. Decent WiFi throughout. Gladly stay here again if we're down that way.

Lovely location and views from the house amazing. Thank you to the owner who opened the bar especially for us, driving through exploring. Recommend this amazing house, so friendly, welcoming. Amazing interior, decor and atmosphere . Just perfect. We will return

Very very peculiar place ....village is deserted..the hotel rooms are small and noisy ,probably due to the terribly slow hotwater (lukewarm at best) showers n pumps on the toilets struggling even with a flush........never ever ever stayed in a hotel with no food available ,neither breakfast nor dinners ....all in all ,it felt like the whole model of the place is as old as the 16th century fireplace itself ..

Popular hotel, very friendly bar, great pizzas. Large garden and garden terrace with view.Not a food pub. Music nights occasionally and different pop up kitchens. Good English breakfast for guests, comfy rooms, ensuit.

This is a lovely friendly place. Has a great bar and garden the owners cannot do enough for you. They are regularly putting on music and pop up restaurants well worth a visit
